Casting Off

Dec 2nd 2007. Well, I've been trying to post this as a proper post for over a week now, but as I let my subscription subside whilst I was away, it's not letting me! So here will have to do, I'm afraid.

It's time to say goodbye, I'm sorry to say BritKnitCast will not be coming back for a new series. I'm in the process of taking a new direction in life, which is all very exciting, but it does mean I am unable to devote the time, care and attention needed to the podcast, so I feel it's time to call it a day.

Thank you all for your support and for taking the time to listen, it has been very much appreciated.

Look after yourselves, and enjoy your knitting and crochet.

Welcome to BritKnitCast Episode 15!

Woolfest is an annual fibre festival organised by The Wool Clip.

I chatted to Jeni from Fyberspates, Natalie from The Yarn Yard, Debbie from The Mulberry Dyer and Mary from The Knitting and Crochet Guild.

Inspiration was plentiful, provided by the Cumbria Institute of the Arts, the Knitted Wedding, Nalebinding exhibit and the Sock Knitting Machine exhibit. We also took a workshop run by Donna Druchunas.

Future fibre shows:
FibreFest
The Knitting and Stitching Shows
Masham Sheep Fair
Wonderwool Wales
Woolfest

Other items mentioned:
Preemies UK
Socks in the City podcast
Free Marshmallow Heart Bag Pattern by Creative Fibres
The Natural Dye Studio
House of Hemp
Knitting and Crochet Guild Trading Site
Tablet Weaving
Pomatomus

So that's the end of Series One, see you next year for Series Two! Thanks for listening :)
cheers,
Carrie Anne
